Naturpark
Fränkische Schweiz - Veldensteiner Forst

Land of romantics. 35 castles, 1000 caves 71 breweries on a surface of more than 2000 km2.

The heartland of the nature park is the “Fränkische Schweiz” with its romantic valleys and the wide Jura plateaus. In the north the landscape becomes more open and wider. Wide pine- and spruce forests of the “Veldensteiner Forst” in the southeast form the nature park.
The partial bizarre landscape already attracted tourists from the neighbored cities Nürnberg, Bamberg and Erlangen in the past century. The infrastructure has a model character and the price level is appropriately low. The nature park is excellently equipped with track paths and other offers for relaxation
