Naturpark
Niederlausitzer Heidelandschaft

... whether during the time when the cherry- and apple trees are in blossom or during the picking time, when the fruit trees are full of crunchy cherries, yellow pears or red apples: A trip through the largest fruit landscape of Brandenburg is always beautiful and worthwhile seeing.

In a wide range the “Schwarze Elster” covers the nature park “Niederlausitzer Heidelandschaft” in the south and west. Doberlug-Kirchhain and Finsterwalde represent the northern border, which are also famous as tanning- and singer towns. In the east the nature park reaches the town Lachhammer, which is home of iron smelting for centuries.
Wide forests, meadows, acre on sandy grounds, mining traces and fruit trees form this landscape at the Schwarze Elster. You can walk on the traces of the monks of Zisterziens or on the track to the moor, through forests and to wide meadows.
